Research Interests:

Synthesis, structure, and magnetic properties of inorganic and bioinorganic compounds; active site models of mu.-oxo iron proteins; polynuclear manganese complexes as models of PSII and pseudocatalase proteins; mixed valence complexes; C-H bond function; conducting polymers; phthalocyanine complexes, electrocatalysis; Structures and solid-state dynamics of one-dimensional water chains stabilized by imidazole channels electrical conductivity and charge transfer of hydrated surfaces; Synthesis, characterization and reactivity of amide functionalized imidazole complexes of Pt(II) and Pt(IV), evaluation of cytotoxic activity of new Pt complexes and new drug discovery.
