Graduate Certificate Program
We are currently working on establishing a Graduate Certificate Program in “Advanced Materials Science & Engineering”.
Objectives of our proposed graduate certificate program
- Produce graduates with skills and knowledge necessary to advance their careers within certain industry segments such as nanotech, electronics manufacturing and advanced tools, etc.
- Impart multi-disciplinary education to enable life-long learning.
- Provide educational framework necessary for graduate students to succeed in their research endeavors.
Target Dates
- Submit finalized certificate proposal to the curriculum committee by Fall 2007
- Initial course offerings by Spring 2008
- Approval of the certificate program by Fall 2008
- First graduating class of May Commencement of 2009
This graduate certificate program will reside and be administered in the J.B. Speed School of Engineering.
