LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Two U of L School of Nursing masters program students won first place in a poster session at the Southern Nursing Research Society’s annual conference in Orlando.
The winners, Leah Baliff and Marla Tobia are neonatal nurse practitioner students. Their poster, “Cerebral Blood Flow and Pain in Two Pre-term Neonates: A Case Study Analysis” was selected from 155 posters from both masters and doctoral students.
The winning poster was an analysis of two babies’ data from a National Institutes of Health study being conducted by nursing faculty member Rosalie Mainous, Ph.D., RNC, NNP.
Overall, 22 nursing students from U of L attended the conference, and five participated in the poster session.
