TEAM 1 - IMPROVING FACULTY RESEARCH PRODUCTIVITY

The A&S team project sought to enhance re-search productivity among pre-tenure faculty members. In addition to drawing on resources from the National Center for Faculty Development & Diversity (NCFDD), with which UofL has an institutional membership, we used SMART goals, structured accountability via peer check-ins and full-group conversations, and a session focused on book proposals to support a cohort of ten probationary faculty members in pursuing their writing goals.

Our LIAM project for Patient Access to Care focuses on the ULP Access Center utilization as the means to increase provider buy-in with the ultimate goal of improving patient access and improve patient satisfaction.

Our solution to this problem was to develop a simple, user-friendly employee recognition program that can be immediately deployed across multiple different healthcare settings.

TEAM 5 - DRIVING ACTIVE LEARNING

Active learning is underutilized in the clinical environment. Our team evaluated the Questioning Aid for Rich, Real-time Discussion (QARRD), which was developed at the University of Louisville based on strategic questioning using Bloom’s taxonomy. We evaluated the effectiveness of the QARRD with respect to the training of the faculty, application in clinical practice, and results experienced by the learners and faculty.
