Job Summary
Coordinate co-op program and career services for assigned engineering disciplines, teach co-op seminars, participate in research to maintain current programs, and serve as backup support for director.
Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate co-op program, develop curriculum and teach co-op seminars for assigned engineering disciplines. Participate in research, professional development and other scholarly activities to maintain current best practices.
Coordinate career services, job-search and career counseling for engineering students and alumni,
Develop and enhance relationships with prospective co-op and full time employers, with academic departments and administrative entities, including the University Caree r Development Center and Ulmer Career Center.
Provide leadership for development and implementation of evaluation materials and systems that will enhance utilization of cooperative education for the academic mission of the school and the ABET process.
Assist in the administration of the engineering campus recruiting programs.
Develop and implement customized initiatives with academic and service departments.
Assist in organization and promotion of career fairs and roundtables.
Prepare marketing and promotional materials for employers.
Develop/maintain employer and student databases and prepare periodic and annual reports.
Assist the Director in developing operations and programs that enhance our ability to meet the office’s educational mission. Serve as Director backup.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in Higher Education or related field.
Experience
Four years of experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.
