JOB TITLE: Pediatrics Administrative Manager

Direct, manage, and coordinate the administrative business and financial services of the Department of Pediatrics relating to Human Resources. Reports directly to the Chairman of the Department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with the Chairman in decision making and strategic planning related to personnel activities. Oversee all personnel transactions of the Department.
Review and authorize payroll and personnel documents involving school, department, and research funds.
Direct and administer department salary equity by analyzing, setting, and authorizing compensation rates for department staff. Analyze salary market data, develop and administer salary structures and ranges. Provide financial advice to the Chairman.
Maintain relationships and communication with the Pediatric divisions as relates to HR matters. Serve as resource perform for HR business/financial matters for Dept. directors and administrators.
Develop, implement, administer and communicate policies for the department. Interpret, administer, and communicate University policies and procedures.
Analyze, monitor, review and make recommendations concerning Foundation benefits. Communicate and negotiate with outside vendors. Communicate benefits information to staff.
Direct and/or participate in meetings, seminars, task forces, unemployment claims/appeals, grievances, litigation, etc. Advise and assist department employees concerning employment issues on a one-to-one basis.
Develop jobs, interview, hire, train and evaluate unit personnel.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
Five years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
