Job Summary

Plan, organize, manage and carry out the private sector fundraising program for a particular school or major gift function within the University.

Duties and Responsibilities

Serve as development officer for a particular school or top University priority. Develop plans and strategies for increasing private support.

Work with University administrators, Deans, faculty members, alumni, and patrons to identify, cultivate and solicit gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations.

Prepare and coordinate the preparation of proposals, case statements, brochures and other written materials in support of fundraising objectives.

Plan and organize prospect identification and cultivation activities designed to strengthen major gift opportunities and generate increased support.

Develop promotional materials, maintain a computerized database, and coordinate stewardship programs related to targeted priorities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Master's degree in Marketing, Public Relations or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.

Experience

Five years of successful fund-raising experience.
