JOB TITLE: Enterprise Software Analyst

Responsible for overseeing and managing system availability, system performance, capacity planning and system tuning for IT server infrastructure.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage in computer systems analysis including installation, configuration, maintenance and problem analysis of various server operating system hardware and software for all enterprise systems.
Perform configuration, deployment, management and maintenance of hypervisor based virtual and physical server infrastructure.
Mentor other systems programmers in the overall set up and on-going security/maintenance of complex server hardware, storage equipment and systems software including oxen and six based virtualization framework.
Responsible for planning, design, compliance, installation and maintenance of complex virtual machine pool comprising of VMware & Oracle VM technologies.
Develop standards and procedures, training and assist in the overall operations and user support.
Systems administration functions of Unix/Linux operating systems in high performance parallel computing. Virtualization with hypervisor technology. Scripting in multiple languages for systems automation and integration.
Recommend, plan and lead implementation of enterprise system software and enhancements for critical university business systems, as well as manage specific projects.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS
Master's degree in Computer Science or Engineering with Computer Science concentration.
One year of computer systems analysis experience including one year with each of the following: Computer programming, Unix/Linux operating systems, computer clusters, hardware/software instructions and Scripting in multiple languages for systems automation and integration. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.
