JOB SUMMARY

Serve as lead counselor for Counseling Center and provide resources and assistance for other counseling staff in the area of client relations. Provide counseling services including personal, psychological, academic, vocational and situational counseling on a individual and group basis for students.  Provide consultation to faculty, staff, and parents.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Serve as lead counselor and as the primary resource for faculty and staff with regards to counseling related issues.

Provide individual and group counseling for students

Provide consultation to faculty and staff regarding student issues

Conduct outreach programs, including presentations and seminars, divisional and university activities as requested

Provide intake services for students

Assist with crisis situations

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Requires a Ph.D. in Counseling, Social Work or a related field.  Kentucky State licensure required.

EXPERIENCE

Five years of related counseling experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirement.
