JOB TITLE: Data Base Administrator

Responsible for all activities related to the administration of enterprise databases and corresponding middleware components.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Assigns tasks and oversee the activities of junior members of the team.
Plan and coordinate long-term requirements for enterprise middleware applications
Coordinate the installation and maintenance of middleware components of enterprise applications and database systems.
Work with other IT managers on developing capacity planning strategies for the enterprise systems.
Plan, coordinate and oversee the monitoring and tuning of all enterprise middleware components.
Confer with other units and customers to evaluate needs and plan strategies for implementing the appropriate database and middleware requirements.
Evaluate and recommend training to team members and customers. Provide technical instruction to support staff and others.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
Ten years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
