Job Title: Biostatistician II

Job Summary

This position, under administrative guidance, collaborates in designing and monitoring biomedical research projects and assumes primary responsibility for the analysis and presentation of project data. Duties will include developing objectives, designing sampling as well as randomization and data collections procedures in health and clinical studies; designing tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies, monitoring and assessing data quality; writing statistical report and/or publications. Must have experience in analyzing data using statistical packages; organizing data and communicating statistical concepts to non-statisticians.

Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborate with biomedical investigators and assist in developing objectives, designing sampling as well as randomization and data collection procedures to achieve study objectives.

Design tables and statistical procedures for specific research studies.

Collaborate with clinic and other personnel, including analyst/programmers in monitoring and assessing data quality.

Write statistical computer programs and review computer output for consistency and quality; analyze data and prepare tables for interim and final reports.

Write the results section of the reports or publications.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work describe above.

Expand knowledge of statistical methods and software for training and operational use.

Knowledge, Training and Skills

Master's degree in Biostatistics, statistics or a related field.

Experience

Two years of related experience is required.
