JOB TITLE: Systems Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Plan, direct and coordinate activities of designated project(s).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform analysis and formulate specifications for new implementation and upgrades to a major client-server application systems including other university Enterprise software modules. Provide and coordinate testing of these functions. Direct and conduct system testing. Match new system/version functionality against current system to facilitate conversion process and identify necessary modifications.

Collaborate with other implementation leaders, consultants, and departmental system coordinators to develop necessary interface to all modules including interfacing with administrative offices, and external vendors/systems. Test and support third party systems and software and coordinate data input to insure data integrity.

Research, analyze, troubleshoot problems, and work with Production Support Team, Programmer Analyst, Consultants and software technical support for the continuing implementation and operations of the automated University Enterprise system. Perform regulatory maintenance, bugs and fixes, and new development testing. Monitor bugs and fixes resolution in test databases and authorize their move to production. Provide support for daily operations. Develop and execute operational changes in business processes as related to computing enhancements. Develop priority papers as needed.

Develop functional specifications and develop test data for conversions, mass changes, setup tables, utilize robot scripts, and program run processes.

 Coordinate the analysis of delivered reports, development of standard and ad-hoc reporting to support associated areas, provide operational reports for specific university departments, and regulatory agency requirements. This can be in the form of queries, crystal, using EPM tools, or submission of work requests.

Perform additional related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Science, Computer Technology or a related field

EXPERIENCE

Five  years of related experience.

Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirement.
