JOB TITLE:   Program Coordinator, Center for the Study of Violence in Urban Schools

CLASS CODE:   001389     

JOB SUMMARY

Oversee and coordinate the activities of the Center for The Study of Violence in Urban Schools, including training staff and consultants in center packages.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate training with other Technical Assistance through networking and researching other prevention programs.

Oversee training logistics; consultant database, training calendar, event planning, internal and external communication.

Oversee operation of center: purchasing, management of sub-contracts and PSC’s; human resources, mass mailings and workload of staff.

Analyze and project expenditures, monitor accounting functions of support staff.

Provide training in center training packages to consultants, staff and communities.

Oversee operation of Dissemination Unit.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Master’s degree in Educational Communications, Occupational Training & Development, Justice Administration.

EXPERIENCE

Five years of related experience.  An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
