JOB TITLE: Radiology Physician Assistant

To assist in, and/or perform under radiology physician and faculty supervision, patient care in the area of radiology procedures and services.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the care of patients by assisting the Interventional Radiologist and/or Neuro-Interventional Radiologist in completion of arteriograms and interventional procedures.
Perform venous access procedures, including port and tunnel catheter insertions, dialysis graft interventions including thrombolysis, balloon angioplasty and stent insertion.
Consult with referring physicians, schedule procedures, consent patients, review medical records including labs, prior to onset of procedures. Convey results and findings of radiological procedures to referring physicians.
Provide lectures, conferences, and class reviews for radiology residents in preparation for their board exams.
Other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program in Radiological Technology, Radiology Physician Assistant, or related field. American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), Radiology Physicians Assistant (RPA), Basic Life Support (BLS), and KY State Certificate of Radiation Control Branch.
Two years of related experience.
