JOB TITLE: Video Production Specialist, Senior

JOB SUMMARY

Shoot, edit and provide technical support to assist in the development and creation of video, television and distance education production.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as videographer to shoot and record video and audio in support of the teaching, research, and service objectives of the university.

Set up equipment including cameras, lights, monitors, video tape recorders, microphones and set pieces as needed for the shoot.

Serve as studio production crew member to operate cameras, audio board, character generator, tape machines, camera control units, or other equipment.

Edit video and audio materials and programs to support teaching, research, service and administrative objectives.

Create video graphics to enhance video projects.

Document and report time, materials, and expenses for projects and prepare billing invoices.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcast Journalism or related field. Kentucky driver’s license and insurable under University’s insurance program.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
