JOB SUMMARY
Manage, plan and coordinate the area of Support Services, which include gift processing, biographical data maintenance and word processing.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly manage and participate in gift processing, biographical maintenance, and word processing. Provide supervisory and administrative assistance to support staff of Support Services. Assist in the interview and hiring process of support staff. Assist the Assistant Director of Support Services with the development of unit policy and procedures. Direct the implementation of new procedures.
Represent the unit in contacts with other University departments. Provide training sessions for departments pertaining to the BSR system, as well as procedures of the unit. Serve as a liaison for the unit.
Participate in the long and short term planning to meet the needs of the unit. Oversee projects, edit reports and compile statistical data for reporting purposes. Prepare and distribute end-of-the-month donor information to University departments.
Assist as needed in the area of major gifts, using knowledge of IRS audit, CASE and internal regulations and procedures. Assist in financial/accounting processes.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Four years of related experience, with departmental program management and supervision of supporting program staff. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
