Manage and oversee the area of Donor Relations, Research, Media and Marketing for the Development Office.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Design, write, edit and execute the yearly marketing plan including project management of all brochures, promotional literature, and other fundraising materials. Design and write all Development publications, which includes the Philanthropic News. Design the Development Department's page two ad in the UofL Alumni Magazine, and oversee featured articles that relate to any endowed gifts to the university.
Coordinate and supervise all activities related to the research that produces in excess of a thousand reports per year, stewardship of over eight hundred endowments, and media and marketing. Chair monthly meetings with full staff and weekly meetings with coordinators of research and endowments. Interview, hire and train staff, and write and administer annual reviews.
Oversee all Development information for Courier-Journal working in cooperation with the Office of Communications and Marketing.
Design, execute and maintain university Web pages that relate to the Development Department.
Promote the university's programs through professional organizations by submitting entries for competition to the Council for the Advancement and support of Education (CASE) for national contest.
Perform other duties assigned by the Vice-President of Development and the Associate Vice-President of Development that may include serving on university-wide projects and committees.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing or related field.
Six years of related experience with experience in media and marketing and supervision of staff. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
