JOB SUMMARY
Coordinate the operation of the office of Faculty and Student Advocacy.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Coordinate and implement policies and procedures for the Advocacy Office.
Handle responses to inquiries by students, residents, faculty and staff regarding advocacy issues, making appropriate referrals and/or scheduling appointments with the Associate Dean as needed.
Plan and coordinate the Health Awareness Workshop. Coordinate Student Outreach at the University of Louisville (S.O.U.L.) program.
Coordinate the Student Advocate Program.
Oversee the operation of the Student Advisor Program.
Direct the STATS (Students Teaching About Aids to Students) and STEP (Students Teaching Early Prevention) programs.
Plan various meetings concerned with advocacy issues--monthly UofL women faculty meetings, annual four-state (Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio and Tennessee) women faculty meetings, and various forums and seminars
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in Education, Counseling or a related field.
EXPERIENCE
Four years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
