Coordinate the internal communications for a specific unit or department.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Assist personnel in the development and execution of effective internal communication strategies. Function as editor for publications and online news bulletins. Assist in development, implementation and editorial maintenance of the website.
Work with communication and marketing staff to coordinate the completion of internal projects. Write materials for newsletters, magazines and other communications tools as appropriate.
Serve as primary liaison to university units which focus primarily on internal university business. Manage media relations as needed.
Assist with issues management and other projects as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English or related field.
Three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
