JOB TITLE: Dental Equipment Technician, Senior

Install, maintain, and repair clinic and laboratory dental equipment and maintain an adequate parts inventory.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Clean, repair and replace various makes and models of dental equipment such as: sterilizers, microscopes, x-ray units, chairs, dental units, dental lights, some cleaners, gas and vacuum lines, and valves.
Schedule and perform preventative maintenance on a timely basis.
Complete and process purchase orders and requisitions.
Monitor radiation levels on x-ray units.
Maintain inventories on parts in stock, equipment in storage, and incoming equipment.
Pack and return parts to manufacturer for repair or replacement.
Modify and manufacture parts if unable to
Train and instruct others in methods and unit procedures.
Plan work for unit.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Associate's degree. Certification in Dental Equipment Repair.
Five years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
