JOB SUMMARY

To ensure the physical security of university facilities.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide for the physical security of University buildings and facilities.

Report suspected crimes or suspicious persons.

Report serious safety hazards or maintenance failures.

Maintain positive public relations.

Provide routine crime prevention information regarding physical security.

Job may require extensive time standing & walking.

Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Minimum of high school diploma.

Minimum of 18 years of age. Basic ability to read and write. Valid Kentucky driver’s license at time of appointment and insurable through University’s auto insurance policy.  The selection process includes successful completion of oral interviews, drug screening test and comprehensive background investigation.

EXPERIENCE

Six months of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
