JOB TITLE: Laborer

JOB SUMMARY

Perform manual work of a routine nature involving a variety of unskilled manual duties.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Load and unload trucks and move furniture or other heavy equipment and material.

Carry tools and equipment to and from storage and work area.

Dig trenches.

Mix and pour concrete for foundations or other construction or repair work.

Spread sand, gravel and asphalt in order to complete road foundations; fill potholes.

Mow grass, hoe, fertilize, disc, irrigate and prune trees on University property.

Remove obstructions, such as trees and brush from University properties.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Basic ability to read and write. Valid driver's license, insurable by the university's carrier and able to operate manual transmission vehicles.

EXPERIENCE

Six months of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
