JOB TITLE:  Groundskeeper

JOB SUMMARY

Perform physical labor in maintain the grounds.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Mow lawns, seed, fertilize, water, spray and maintain turf areas.

Plant trees, shrubs, evergreens and bedding plants; water, weed, trim, spray and maintain them.

Diagnose and treat tree illnesses.

Mix and apply weed and insect control chemical.

Drive trucks, tractors and operate such equipment as necessary for grounds maintenance.

Collect and haul trash and limbs as necessary to maintain the grounds.

Remove snow as necessary.

Perform related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

High school diploma. Valid driver's license; employment physical, insurable by University's carrier to drive vehicles, and Kentucky operator's license to handle pesticides.

EXPERIENCE

One year of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
