JOB SUMMARY

Perform general carpentry work in the alteration, repair, maintenance, and renovation of buildings and grounds.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Install new or repair doors, windows, locks, hardware, and furniture.

Install new or repair existing ceilings.

Frame new or repair existing walls, hang and finish drywall and plaster.

Lay new or repair existing concrete, block, plaster, brick, ceramic or vinyl tile.

Supervise, form, pour, and finish concrete on new or existing work.

Operate equipment; i.e. bucket truck, BobCat, backhoe, jackhammer; necessary to install new or repair existing work.

Read from blueprints and lay out new work.

Supervise assigned laborers and helpers.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS

High school diploma. Completion of formal trades apprenticeship. Valid driver's license required. Commercial Driver's License may be required.

EXPERIENCE

Three years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
