JOB TITLE: Orthodontic Lab Technician

Perform all laboratory duties required by the Orthodontic Residency Program.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Fabricate all orthodontic appliances per doctor’s prescription.
Assist the orthodontic residents, faculty, and students with their lab problems and lab needs.
Supervise and pour all impressions which come into the lab from the Orthodontic Clinic and Faculty Private Practice.
Supervise, organize, and record all records work.
Supervise, package, and schedule all work from the lab to outside services and all in-house work in and out of the lab.
Order and stock the materials used in the orthodontic lab.
Provide materials, instruction, and appliances needed by undergraduate students, faculty, or residents for specific orthodontic projects.
Supervise undergraduate students working in orthodontic lab on records models in the work study program.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Completion of a recognized program in Dental Technology and certified as a Dental Technician. Training in Orthodontic specialty preferred.
Two years of related experience.
