JOB TITLE:  Dental Clinic Associate Senior

JOB SUMMARY

Serve as Dental Clinic Associate. Examples of duties will include serving as chairside assistant in the hospital-based dental programs at the Ambulatory Care Building, including the General Practice Residency and the Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery programs. May also include serving as patient service representative in the hospital-based clinics. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Serve as dental assistant: work chairside along dental residents, setting up/breaking down operatories in conjunction with infection control standards, escort patients to/from clinical areas, ensure that encounter forms are completed by resident doctor, ensure that patient record is retrieved and returned to School's records area.

May also be required to accompany resident doctor into hospital operating room, observing all operating room protocol.

May also include serving as patient services representative in the hospital-based portion of the dental clinic: making appointments, greeting patients, handling patient records for this patient population which tends to be more medically-compromised or have other social/medical problems.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

High School diploma 

EXPERIENCE

Three years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
