JOB TITLE:  Energy Control Technician
CLASS CODE: 572111   

JOB SUMMARY

Implement, operate and monitor all computerized building control systems; maintain a current library of all building specifications, manuals and blueprints.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Monitor and respond to alarms on mechanical equipment; initiate corrective action and follow through until corrected.

Coordinate with the University community time schedules and equipment operation.

Monitor data files on an on-going basis to insure proper environmental conditions in those buildings on the Energy Management System.

Write and implement historical data for event initiation, start/stop programs and duty cycle programs.

Prepare work orders as needed for maintenance of control and mechanical equipment.

Monitor utility consumption in relation to new programs, schedules and hours.

Monitor maintenance requirements for the Honeywell Central Control equipment.

Supervise the components of the plant communications systems; send in for repairs or order new equipment.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Two years of technical school training in Heating/Air Conditioning.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
