JOB TITLE: Supply Technician
CLASS CODE: 001021
Direct and coordinate the operational activities relating to the maintenance of a correct and adequate inventory of a school or unit.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Order, receive and maintain inventory of all supplies necessary for procedures and/or clinics.
Maintain computerized inventory system to record all incoming shipments.
Analyze supply costs and recommend changes as needed.
Compute the usage rate of disposals, lag time, discrepancies on orders and minimum quantities of items required to maintain operations.
Supervise the proper identification, rotation and storage of supplies.
Catalog new shipments and/or available products.
Post invoices/requisitions and fill internal orders from existing stock.
Plan orders for upcoming year using generated computer analyses.
May track requisitions through purchasing system and provide appropriate business office with invoices.
Perform related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
High school diploma. Registered Medical Assistant may be required.
Two years of experience with inventory systems or related area. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
