JOB SUMMARY

Perform moderately complex technical laboratory and/or field work involving the application of independent judgment to a variety of laboratory and research procedures.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct moderately complex laboratory investigations and experiments' prepare analyses of findings using a variety of simple statistical methods.

Perform moderately complex physical, chemical, and biological analyses of laboratory specimens and cultures requiring the exercise of independent judgment and a knowledge of laboratory methods and procedures.

Perform microscopic examinations of bacterial cultures; record and report results of examinations and keep such records as necessary.

Conduct a variety of tests to determine acidic, chemical, bacterial, and related ingredients of soils, tissues, and related laboratory and field specimens.

Supervise laboratory assistants in the care and cleaning of laboratory equipment and facilities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Biology, anatomy, Chemistry, or related field. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.

EXPERIENCE

Two years of experience.
