JOB SUMMARY

Perform moderately complex technical laboratory work under general direction.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct moderately complex laboratory research and experiments.

Maintain records on tests performed and report findings to the supervisor.

Synthesize research information and prepare statistical summaries.

Develop records information system for gathering research findings.

May perform and supervise the preparation of specimens for electron microscopy.

May diagnose and/or repair malfunctioned mechanical and electronic equipment.

May demonstrate and teach laboratory techniques.

Assist in writing, editing, and arranging materials for exhibition, lecture, and/or publication.

May perform functional supervision over lower level laboratory research position(s).

Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Anatomy, Chemistry or related field.

EXPERIENCE

One year of related Laboratory experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
