JOB SUMMARY

Conduct routine laboratory duties such as washing glassware, mixing solutions, sterilizing equipment, setting up racks and tubes, and other duties related to keep the lab in order.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine tests in various areas such as serology, hematology, chemistry, microbiology, histology, and cytology.

Mix clean solutions to predetermined specifications.

Prepare instruments and trays for sterilization.

Fold laboratory towels.

Wash glassware and instruments.

Store and labels test tubes.

Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, AND SKILLS

High school diploma.

EXPERIENCE

Three months of experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
