JOB SUMMARY

Provide specialized nursing care associated with clinical studies. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Provide nursing services and perform clinical procedures required for specific studies.

Maintain telephone and personal contact with patients; may require home or office visits.

Maintain patient records and document appropriate data in accordance with FDA regulations and study-specific protocols.

Identify and recruit patients for studies, explaining intent and procedures; may obtain informed consent.

Confer with other health care professionals as required to provide nursing/clinical services. 

Schedule laboratory procedures, check laboratory test reports and discuss abnormal results wit physicians.

Arrange for collection, storage and appropriate shipment of specimens. Assist in ordering clinical supplies.

License to practice Practical Nursing in Kentucky
