JOB SUMMARY
Provide career counseling to students, alumni, community members, and staff for the enhancement of educational, personal, and professional career development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Provide individual and group career counseling for students, alumni, community members, and staff.
Facilitate career planning programs for academic units. Provide career planning sessions for community agencies, corporations, and local schools.
Work with other departments through referrals and career assistance.
Teach workshops, write instructional material, develop workshop curricula and research career fields and trends for use in programming.
Administer and interpret standardized career assessments. Keep records of client contact and do monthly reports.
Promote and provide career counseling as retention intervention for at-risk students.
Research current career related materials and make recommendations for material for Career Resource Library.
Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in Counseling and Guidance, Social Work, College Student Personnel or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Four years experience.
