JOB TITLE: Research Facilitator

Assist in the coordination of research activities; prepare external publications, the department newsletter, budget statements and research and grant proposals.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Assist in the preparation of proposals and edit articles written by faculty members for publication.
Identify sources of funding, notify faculty, prepare grant proposals and follow up the requests.
Plan and write articles for the newsletter and for national educational publications.
Design research methodologies and projects which carry out unit research goals and objectives.
Coordinate publication and develop marketing strategies for disseminating faculty publications and products.
Conduct analysis and summarize literature relevant to departmental activities and prepare reports.
Act as liaison with granting agencies, research foundations, community groups and organizations and other institutions.
Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in English, Journalism or related field.
Three years of experience in designing research methodologies, implementing research data analysis and reporting, and grant writing. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
