JOB SUMMARY
Provide statistical consulting, database management, programming, and computer hardware and software consulting services to faculty, staff and students.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Consult with users concerning statistical needs, data gathering and data processing.
Recommend appropriate statistical analyses, experimental design and sampling methods to meet user's needs.
Perform statistical analyses.
Write programs using standard statistical software and interpret results.
Design, write, test, debug and document database retrieval programs.
Develop, maintain and update databases, ensuring database integrity, security and quality control.
Serve as resource person for faculty, staff, and students regarding inquiries about computers, databases and software.
Assist in the writing and preparation of journal articles, presentations and grants.
Perform related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Master's degree in Statistics.
EXPERIENCE
Four years of related experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
