Coordinate and maintain a public service program for law students. Develop programs and publications to promote public services within the Law School and community. Identify and investigate appropriate placements as well as monitor student progress.
Duties and Responsibilities
Act as Program’s spokesperson and advocate on local, regional and national levels.
Communicate with lawyers, legal organizations and bar associations to identify external placements for students.
Monitor placements through regular contact with placement supervisors and student volunteers.
Develop administrative structures for matching students with placement and monitor completion of requirements.
Assist in securing long term financial support for program through grants and other external funding sources.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in a related field or Juris Doctorate.
Three years of related experience. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirements.
