JOB SUMMARY
Assist the Director of Consulting Services with technology planning; provide advanced consultation, system integration, and instruction; direct the implementation of new technologies; and negotiate and maintain vendor contracts.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
Assist the Director of Consulting Services with technology planning.
Assist administrative units with long range technology planning by auditing use of current technologies, making recommendations for maximizing use of current technologies, and recommending cost effective solutions to enhance business computing practices.
Assist in setting strategic technology direction with a systems integration focus in accordance with the Partners in Technology program.
Research, recommend, develop, and direct the implementation of new data, voice, and video technologies for use within the university community.
Provide Tier II support to Tier I support in administrative units and the Operations Help Desk.
Maintain strategic vendor relationships and negotiate university-wide technology contracts.
Teach advanced computer short courses.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
EXPERIENCE
Seven years related computer experience. An equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
