Provide technical support for a major operating system and associated hardware and software.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Evaluate, select, and implement computer operating systems software options.
Consult with operators, programmers, and users for problem determination, resolution, and project planning.
Develop standards and procedures.
Train and assist operators and users.
Assign and review the work of other systems programmers.
Maintain technical proficiency through self education.
Perform related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
Three years of experience as a Systems Programmer or Computer Specialist.
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
