Provide broad, in-depth computing-related consulting services for faculty, staff and graduate students.
Duties and Responsibilities
Consult on data acquisitions and manipulation prior to, and during analysis which involves computer tapes.
Consult on computer languages and systems to support in breadth and/or depth other consultants.
Consult on statistical packages, primarily as they relate to data preparation, storage,and retrieval.
Train faculty, staff, and students in the use of computers.
Participate in planning academic computing services.
Maintain, update, and extend professional knowledge to keep abreast of rapid changes in hardware and software.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in Computer Science, Applied Statistics or a related field.
Seven years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirement noted.
