Job Title: Director, Medical School Student Affairs

Direct the overall operations of the Medical Student Affairs Office.
Duties and Responsibilities
Direct student affairs, student services, and student records functions.
Monitor work performance of four staff members, which includes conducting annual appraisals and interview and hire of positions that are vacant.
Maintain currency of student affairs policies, procedures, and programs. Respond to faculty, staff, and student inquiries. Review requests for student services and information.
Oversee the maintenance of student records which includes monitoring student academic progress, tracking the status of students on leaves of absence, repeating and/or returning students, dismissals, and other special situations.
Coordinate preparations for convocations, first and second year student orientations, and assist with annual career counseling program.
Supervise the preparation and organization of regularly scheduled meetings.
Oversee the administration of student tutoring services.
Provide administrative support for the Associate Dean for students. Make decisions in the absence of the Associate Dean.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Master's degree in college student personnel services, Higher Education administration, counseling or related field.
Five years of related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
