Coordinate genetic outreach clinics, take family pedigrees and medical histories, and aid in the diagnosis of genetic disorders while working closely with a clinical geneticist.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Coordinate a genetic outreach program at sites in Western Kentucky and at the Child Evaluation Center.
Take family pedigrees, prenatal and medical histories and assist in the diagnosis of genetic disorders with a clinical geneticist.
Provide case management to patients, couples and families with or at risk for genetic disorders and birth defects.
Assist in designing and teach genetic education programs, exhibits and displays to nurses, allied professionals, students and lay persons.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. Kentucky Nursing Registration/ Licensure required.
Two years of related experience.
