JOB TITLE: FINANCIAL AID ADVISOR SENIOR

Coordinate, monitor, and award state-funded grants and scholarship programs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate, award, and supervise all the State programs: SSIG, CAP, Rehabilitation Grants, Kentucky Veterans (Dependents of disabled or deceased veterans), Teachers Scholarships, KHEAA Work Study Program, Paul Douglas Teacher Scholarship, and any new programs that may arise.
Provide financial aid counseling to students and parents as needed on a daily walk-in and phone-in basis.
Work financial aid station at registration. Conduct financial aid workshops as needed.
Process edits weekly for the aid programs listed above and, as needed, for other aid programs also.
Coordinate the Outside Scholarships program from the depositing of the checks to the awarding and crediting of the aid to the student's account.
Program and maintain Financial Aid Office Voice Response and Call Director Systems. Oversee and maintain a scholarship search database and other PC programs.
Participate in professional activities and outreach programs of the Financial Aid Office, other University offices, and professional organizations.
Supervise the awarding, edits and reporting of all admissions based and various academic scholarship programs.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Counseling, or a related field.
Two years of experience in financial management or a related field. Additional experience may be used on a one-to-one basis to offset the educational requirement.
