Job Summary
Assist in organizing, conducting, and administering the research and operational activities of a specified unit in the Urban Studies Center including designing, marketing, and managing research.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in administering the affairs of the Center in a manner that will assure the completion of work objectively, accurately, on time, and within budget specifications.
Organize, conduct, and monitor research undertaken by the Center in the designated area and in a manner that will assure accurate, objective, and quality results.
Assist in developing research proposals responsive to client requests received by the Center and needs and opportunities as self-perceived or developed in collaboration with others.
Prepare written, properly documented reports on research results for clients and general public, and, where appropriate, colleagues in the profession.
Consult with public and other client agencies and/or representatives to identify problem areas, needs, and other opportunities for research and service interest.
Assist in the administration of designated research program as necessary.
Train and direct associated research staff on a project basis.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Doctorate degree in the area of specialization.
An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
Experience
Two years of experience in Applied Research
