JOB TITLE: Psychological Counselor

To provide individual, couple, and group counseling and psychotherapy services for students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide individual counseling services including emergency services, crisis management and referral to appropriate medical personnel.
Direct the Counseling Center training program.
Direct and supervise all work of one graduate practicum student per semester.
Lead therapy/support groups and structured groups.
Provide referral services to faculty and staff to mental health professionals in the community.
Coordinate the Center's developmental group program including scheduling staff, publicizing groups, and setting fees.
Consult with individuals and groups within the University to assist problem solving and to provide input into improving the psychological environment of the University.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Doctorate in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, or related field. Licensed as a Kentucky Psychologist, or eligible for licensure, with completion of all licensure requirements within one year of date of employment.
Four years of psychological counseling experience.
