JOB TITLE: Research Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Edit, code, and transfer data and assist in project and developmental areas.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and conduct training sessions for each project to ensure uniformity in procurement of research data.

Code, edit, verify, and transfer data along with the preparation of working papers describing the research process.

Prepare survey research reports including set-up, layout, proofing, and editing.

May develop reports concerning research opportunities and activities of the University.

Prepare forms, maps, and assignments for fieldwork including sample construction and selection.

Supervise interviewers and coders, including the screening for qualified personnel to perform survey fieldwork.

Develop and conduct shift and/or crew supervisor procedures, policies, and training for each survey.

Monitor and report progress of interviewers, for individual productivity and accuracy, with recommendation for termination for unsatisfactory performance.

Maintain working knowledge of the research interests of faculty departments and the community.

May guide faculty in designing and editing research proposals.

Perform related duties as required.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences or related field.

An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.

EXPERIENCE

Six months of experience.
