JOB TITLE: Assistant Director, Marketing Publications **

JOB SUMMARY

Manage, plan, organize and implement marketing and communications projects for the university and its schools/units that support the goals of the integrated marketing plan. 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

Coordinate and creatively direct publications and other communications projects, focused on student recruitment and enhancement of the university's image. Lead internal project creative teams and supervise external vendors, including writers, graphic designers and photographers. Assist in planning and project development with deans and administrators; prepare and coordinate project proposals, plans and budgets.

Serve as a primary copywriter and editor for university viewbooks, recruitment materials and other marketing publications. Provide writing support to projects and periodicals coordinated by other staff members.

Serve as a member of creative and projects teams within University Communications and Marketing. Assist with a variety of projects related to newsletter/periodical publishing, Web communications, video, advertising, media relations and graphic identity.

Assist director with supervision of Marketing publications, staff and projects. Represent director at meetings and assist in daily management of the office.

KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING & SKILLS

Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or related field. 

EXPERIENCE

Five years of related experience.

An equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience may be substituted for the requirements noted.
