JOB TITLE: Nurse Coordinator

Supervise and coordinate departmental health and education programs; participate in patient care, clinical research, and nurse instruction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan, coordinate, and provide in-service sessions and educational programs and seminars for both professionals and the general public.
Collect and document data for clinical research.
Participate in the screening, clinical care, and education of patients.
Establish and maintain contact with other health related departments, hospitals, community agencies, and area educators to identify clinical and educational needs in the service area.
Develop, implement, and evaluate curriculum for nurse participants, coordinating with the School of Nursing to provide and maintain Continuing Education Units.
Prepare and maintain related reports and records and coordinate the publication of monthly newsletter.
Function as resource person for public health nurses in the Western Region of Kentucky.
Coordinate and participate in clinical research.
Perform related duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree in Nursing. Registration from Kentucky Board of Nursing. Additional experience may be substituted for up to two years of related education.
Four years of experience in Department Specialty.
