Provide medical evaluation and care for high risk infants and children.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide medical evaluations and assessments for high risk infants and children.
Attend and participate in patient conferences to discuss medical aspects of particular cases.
Conduct and attend lectures, conferences, and demonstrations and assist in educational activities of the unit.
Provide pediatric teaching to medical students.
Provide pediatric consultations to assigned staff.
Provide medical information or testimony to outside agencies, juvenile court, MSSO, and others.
Make appropriate referrals to various developmental intervention services or needed medical sub-specialties.
Assist in research projects.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Doctor of Medicine with emphasis in pediatrics. Board certification in Pediatrics.
Three years of related pediatric experience.
