Provide nutritional guidance and counseling to patients and their families/caretaker.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interview, assess, certify, and counsel clients concerning nutrition and WIC Program Services.
Monitor patient's adherence to prescribed diet.
Record and maintain files listing diet histories and related information on clients.
Develop, obtain, and distribute nutritional information and related literature.
Instruct clients in homes in nutrition and diets adaptable to individual lifestyles.
Participate in training sessions and consultations with physicians and other professionals for continuing education.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Training and Skills
Bachelor's degree in Nutrition.
One year of experience in Nutrition.
