Under supervision of licensed physician, practice primary care medicine.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Obtain patient medical history, perform physical exam, order and interpret appropriate labs and x-rays, diagnose, treat and prescribe medication when indicated.
Precept medical students and nurse practitioner/physician assistant students rotating through clinic.
Instruct patient, regarding health maintenance and interpretation of test results.
Perform procedures such as suturing, incision and drainage/debridement of wounds, endometrial biopsies, skin lesion removals/biopsies, apply casts to set fractures.
KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree with completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Physician Assistant National Certification and Kentucky Licensure required.
Four years of experience as Physician Assistant
